CURRICULUM

CONCERNING OUR COURSES

Southland Bible Institute is a specialized institution training men and women for ministry,
and offering a solid Biblical basis for life in general.

The curriculum is set up as a one year Bible certificate program
that can lead into a three year course of study.

The curriculum is designed to:
give students a thorough, working knowledge of the Word of God,
make them proficient in evangelizing and edifying others,
equip them for various types of Christian service.

Southland has not sought accreditation, but uses God and His Word as its standard.
Here we find the measures of faithfulness, spiritual growth, and excellence sufficient to keep us striving to improve.

Every student at Southland majors in Bible.
The first year Bible courses will lay the foundation for those which can be taken in the subsequent years.
After this foundational year of Bible, each student may choose one or more areas of emphasis to enter and pursue.
At present, Southland offers emphases in Pastoral studies, Christian Education, and Christian Missions.
Each emphasis leads to a diploma.
Students studying in a specific field may choose subjects from other fields described in the catalog if they qualify scholastically.
In no instance will the school be obligated to arrange its schedule of classes
to accommodate the requests for subjects outside the student’s field of concentration.
